Professional positioning
I'm a senior engineer who turns messy business requirements into software, that teams can actually run and maintain. Backend is where I'm strongest, especially Laravel and PHP, but I'm fine moving across the frontend, databases, APIs, cloud, and deployments when the work needs it.
I care about code that other people can read, ship, and keep alive when traffic and edge cases show up.

What I can help with
Things I can help with when you're building or improving a production system.
Backend Engineering
Build solid backends with Laravel, PHP, and Node.js. Clear structure, predictable behavior, room to grow.
API Development
Design and ship REST APIs that are secure, documented, and usable by other developers.
Full-Stack Development
Ship complete products with Laravel on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend.
Database Engineering
Shape schemas, fix slow queries, improve indexes, and dig into MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL when needed.
Third-Party Integrations
Connect your app to payments, marketplaces, CRMs, cloud services, and other external platforms.
Performance Optimization
Find what's actually slow: application code, SQL, APIs, queues, file processing, or infrastructure.
SaaS Development
Help put the backend foundations in place for multi-tenant products and subscription-style apps.
Enterprise Integrations
Work with Salesforce, Boomi, Amazon, eBay, Google, and similar platforms without treating them like a black box.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Docker, AWS, S3, Redis, queues, process managers, web servers, CI/CD, and day-to-day deployment environments.
Legacy System Modernization
Improve an existing system carefully. Reduce debt and raise reliability without a reckless rewrite.
Engineering projects
Selected case studies from real production work. A lot of commercial detail stays confidential, so these focus on the engineering problems.
High-Performance S3 File Upload System
Large files going straight to Amazon S3 with multipart uploads and presigned URLs. More infrastructure work than a basic upload form.

Salesforce / Boomi Enterprise Integration
Moving data across Salesforce and Boomi: endpoints, auth, sync, and debugging when more than one platform is involved.

- APIs
Google Search Console / Google APIs
Google API work with the auth, scopes, and permissions done properly inside Laravel.

Payment & Subscription Systems
Stripe and Laravel Cashier for subscriptions, webhooks, and billing flows where mistakes actually hurt.

Engineering strengths
Capabilities that matter in production, beyond knowing a list of tools.
Architecture
I can turn a business need into a workable shape: data model, APIs, services, queues, and integrations.
Problem Solving
I like hard bugs and unclear failures more than tidy, pre-scoped tickets.
Performance
I've chased slow queries, heavy collections, upload bottlenecks, API lag, and infrastructure limits in live systems.
Integration Engineering
I've spent a lot of time connecting apps to external APIs and enterprise platforms.
Production Debugging
I'm comfortable with issues that only show up in production: auth, queues, servers, databases, uploads, and deploy quirks.
Maintainability
I want the next engineer to understand the code without needing a guided tour.
Business Understanding
I ask why a feature exists before I decide how to build it.
How I approach software
A few habits I keep coming back to when I design, ship, and debug software.
Keep it as simple as it can be
Use a more complex design when the problem needs it, not because it looks impressive.
Understand the problem first
Good implementation starts with knowing what the business actually needs.
Production is the real finish line
If it only works on your laptop, it isn't done.
Performance is part of the product
Slow software turns into a business problem sooner than people expect.
APIs are contracts
They should be predictable, documented, secure, and easy to maintain.
Databases matter
A lot of 'app performance' issues are really data-model and query issues.
Automate the boring failure points
Queues, CI/CD, tests, and monitoring remove a lot of avoidable human error.
Write for the next engineer
Someone else will have to change this later. Make that as painless as you can.

About me
I like systems that aren't perfectly tidy, and the production problems that come with them.
I've been building web applications and backend systems for about eleven years.
A lot of that time wasn't greenfield feature work. I've designed APIs, wired up third-party platforms, cleaned up slow databases, handled payments, moved files through cloud storage, set up background jobs, chased production bugs, and helped existing systems get more reliable.
Laravel has been the backbone of most of my career. I know the framework well, and more importantly I know what it takes to keep a Laravel app healthy in production.
Along the way I've also worked with Vue.js, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS, BigQuery, Stripe, Salesforce, Boomi, Amazon APIs, eBay APIs, and plenty of other external systems.
I do my best work on systems that aren't neat. Legacy code, awkward business rules, flaky APIs, slow queries, sync jobs, auth issues, upload failures. That kind of thing.
I like solving those problems. I try to understand the business reason behind a feature, not just the ticket text, and leave behind systems the next engineer can still work with.

Have a complex engineering problem?
Whether you're building a new product, scaling an existing application, integrating multiple systems, or trying to solve a difficult production problem, let's talk.
